According to a statement, the Hang Seng China Metaverse Index was released alongside the Genomics and Oncology Index, which is a new index.

They are the most recent additions to its Megatrend Index Series, which aims to diversify the company’s existing indices. The new index was launched by Hang Seng Company Limited, a subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank.

For instance, investor interest in the metaverse topic is at an all-time high, prompting the decision to develop the index. Also note that investors aren’t the only ones interested in metaverse ventures.

The metaverse concept is attracting interest from people worldwide who want to try it out. Moreover, digital experiences, virtual reality (VR), gaming, and advanced technologies in virtual worlds are propelling blockchain enterprises forward.

The Hang Seng China Metaverse Index will track the performance of Chinese enterprises engaged in metaverse operations, according to the company.

Hang Seng Indexes Company’s Director is Daniel Wong. Wong said,

“New megatrends are having an ever-increasing impact on our everyday lives. Our two new megatrend indexes are intended to assist investors in capturing possible possibilities emanating from the mainland Chinese and Hong Kong stock markets’ innovative and revolutionary tendencies.”

The two indexes cover Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Shenzhen stocks. Furthermore, they are computed and then shared in two-second intervals in real-time.
