Since the beginning of cryptocurrency, crypto wallets have played a critical role in the industry, allowing users to send and receive digital money easily across crypto exchanges, other people’s accounts, and digital markets.

Following this, many businesses have integrated crypto wallets for their customers to send, receive, and store digital assets.

Today, GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME) announced the launch of its crypto and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) wallet, which allows users to transfer, receive, store, and use cryptos on its decentralized applications (DApps) without leaving their browsers.

According to the GameStop press release, the wallet is a self-custodial Ethereum wallet and can be downloaded as an extension from the Chrome Web Store. Additionally, the wallet will support transactions on GameStop’s NFT marketplace, which is set to open in the second quarter of the fiscal year.

“The ability to securely store cryptocurrencies and NFTs, and the ability to use Ethereum DApps and transactions carried out through Loopring Layer 2, are the key benefits of GameStop Wallet,” says the team.

For instance, GameStop has carved out a position for itself in the volatile realm of cryptocurrency and is continuing to do so. Aside from launching an NFT marketplace and self-custodial wallet, GameStop also introduced Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) payments just a month later, and finally, the launch of a full NFT marketplace and self-custodial wallet.
